MICHELLE GERRARD

As part of a three person team responsible for building the CuppaCo website on the Magento eCommerce platform, my involvement focuses on the online identity of the CuppaCo brand, customer facing website and user experience.

Over the 6 years I spent at ZWS, my role within the team developed alongside my skill set and web design portfolio for a variety of SME and Blue Chip clients. On a daily basis I was responsible for initial web page layouts and design concepts, producing bespoke high quality mock-ups based on the requirements, technical specification and creative brief established directly with the client. I progressed the designs into fully compliant and cross browser tested HTML / CSS page templates. Depending on the project scope, I would either manage the static site build independently with the client through to completion, or hand over to the Development team to integrate into the in-house CMS or eCommerce platform.

Though my work largely revolved around web design and front end development, I also regularly undertook logo design and brand development work, email marketing campaigns and offline printed materials for both internal and external clients.

Initially joining the Design Force team on a contract basis, 2 weeks turned into a little over 2 years and was a great kick start for my career. As a graphic design agency branching out into web and multimedia, I was able to offer the skills I had learnt at University to design and build table based web sites, produce bespoke Flash content and develop multimedia software.
